Kwaghtaver Presents at Boshell Research Day
Kwaghtaver did a fantastic job presenting his poster on his colorectal cancer work at the 2024 annual Boshell Research Day on March 15th, 2024. The event was held at the Marriott Hotel in Opelika and many researchers gathered to discuss diabetes and metabolic diseases.

Lipke Lab Has Fun at E-Day 2024
Hearts! Lipke Lab showed off pig hearts to 6th-12th graders at the 2024 E-day (February 23) as well as brought fake snow to show how hydrogels work. Special thanks to Kwaghtaver for organizing the biomedical outreach table at this event!

Lipke Lab Celebrates Christmas Door Win With Pizza Party
The Lipke Lab group members celebrated their hard work on decorating the office door and winning by having a pizza party. Thanks to Emma Goodlett for her contributions to the pizza party! Party celebrated January 12, 2024.

Shireen and Nippa presented their research at 3-minute thesis competition to general audience! The Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) competition celebrates the exciting research conducted by Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) students. Developed by The University of Queensland (UQ), 3MT cultivates students’ academic, presentation, and research communication skills.
Lipke Lab Presents at the 2023 Biomedical Engineering Society Conference
Lipke Lab traveled to Seattel, WA to present at the 2023 BMES Annual Meeting. Mohammad presented an oral presentation entitled “Improving metabolic and structural maturation of engineered cardiac tissues to study diabetic cardiomyopathy”.
Dr. Lipke and Yuan win at the Alabama LaunchPad Competition
Dr. Lipke and Dr. Tian won first place and $25,000 in Alabama Launchpad’s Cycle 2 concept stage finals on Thursday, Aug. 17, at Auburn University’s New Venture Accelerator.
